Alkaline Diet Recipe: Watercress Salad With Creamy Avocado Dressing

Today’s recipe combines 3 of those ingredients in one delicious salad. It includes watercress, broccoli, and avocado, plus several other raw, alkaline superfoods.

Watercress Salad with Creamy Avocado Dressing

 

Serves 4

 

INGREDIENTS FOR SALAD

 

avocado

2 heaping cups watercress

2 cups broccoli florets

1 sour grapefruit cut into sections

1/2 cup sliced raw almonds

 

INGREDIENTS FOR CREAMY AVOCADO DRESSING

 

1/2 medium Haas avocado

2 tbsp. coconut oil

1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

1/2 tbsp. chia seeds

1/4 tsp. sea salt to taste (Celtic grey, Himalayan, or Redmond Real Salt)

1/4 tsp. black pepper

 

DIRECTIONS

 

For Salad: Peel grapefruit into sections. In a bowl, combine the watercress, broccoli, grapefruit sections, and sliced almonds.

 

For Creamy Avocado Dressing: Add the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour over salad and toss well to combine. Season with sea salt and pepper to taste.
