Chia Fresca

Chia fresca is a super hydrating, energizing, and healing version of aqua fresca and coconut water on steroids. Chia seeds are slow-burning fuel that energizes you all day long and strengthens your gut at the same time. (P.S. When buying coconut water (the other main ingredient in this rejuvenating drink), only buy RAW or COLD-PRESSED coconut water. Pasteurized destroys bad bacteria—and the good minerals your body needs. 

This healing and energizing tonic can be made in seconds, and you only need 3 ingredients that can be bought in bulk. Bottoms up. 

Ingredients: (Serves 1)

  • 1 fresh lemon slice
  • Coconut water
  • 4 tablespoons of chia seeds

Directions:

  1. Squeeze the lemon and put the slice in the coconut water.
  2. Add the chia seeds.
  3. Stir with a spoon and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes, or use a small handheld electric mixer to stir the chia in for 1 minute.
  4. Add in ice, if you want.
