Spinach & Blueberry Salad With Lemon Basil Dressing Recipe

Did you know that one of the best things you can do if you are suffering from seasonal allergies is eat dark, leafy green vegetables like kale and spinach?

Find out other tips for preventing allergies on Thursday in my Spring Allergy Prevention Plan blog post.

The reason is two-fold. First, greens keep your immune system operating at peak performance. Second, greens are rich in quercetin, a compound in dark green and red spices, fruits, and veggies that stops the histamine reaction to allergens. So you want to load up on quercetin-rich foods when allergies attack.

You’ll also love the taste of this salad. On a bed of quinoa, spinach combines with sweet, seasonal blueberries and it’s all dressed with a lemony dressing that feels like spring thanks to the basil.

Give it a try and let me know what you think over on Facebook.
