My Sip Away Acid Reflux Elixir

Let the alchemy begin.

I bring to you my sacred tonic—one that soothes the burning of the throat, mends the wounds of the mouth (and body), and restores balance. Directions

• In an airtight container (I use Mason Jars), mix 3 tablespoons of Organic Marshmallow Root and 1 tablespoon of Cinnamon Bark. I use the Starwest Botanicals brand.
• Keep on mixing both ingredients until you fill the jar an inch or so from the top.
• In a second jar, add 8 ounces of room temperature or lukewarm water. 
• Add 1 tablespoon of the mixture to the water jar. Shake and dance!
• Let it sit for at least 4 hours. I leave it overnight in the fridge for maximum potency. 
• Strain, drink, hydrate, soothe, and heal.

For best results…

• Sip all day to scare your problems away: If you are suffering from acid reflux, intestinal pain, mouth ulcers, inflammation, or wet and dry coughs, sip on the tonic all day. Try to drink 4-6 cups of 8 ounces in total.
• Apply the magic directly to a wound: If you want to quickly heal a wound or burn, seep the tonic into a pad and wrap it around the infected area.
• Be strategic when drinking if on medications: If you are on medication, drink this tonic 4 hours before or after taking the medication, as it may inhibit absorption.
